FIU and AI2ES will work closely on education, training, and workforce development activities. AI2ES will share experiences with FIU to target the diverse population of undergraduate and graduate students in the crosscutting areas of computing and ES.

First, AI2ES and FIU will share experiences in developing an undergraduate interdisciplinary program between computer science and environmental science.

Second, AI2ES and FIU will coordinate efforts for strengthening pathway programs for students from 2-year community colleges to universities.

Third, AI2ES and FIU will facilitate research exchange and build alliance among participating institutions with activities, including hosting visits of faculty/student teams, coordinating summer internship opportunities, and organizing cross-institution workshops/seminars.
